Terms of Service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stasher document vault service ("Service") operated by Stasher AI, Inc. ("Stasher", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Stasher, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Stasher.
2. Description of Service
Stasher is a personal document vault with AI-powered search. You can:
- Upload, scan, or share documents into your vault
- Connect cloud accounts (Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, Dropbox) to index your emails and files
- Search across all your documents and connected accounts using AI
The Service is provided "as is" - see Section 12 for warranty disclaimers.
3. Account Registration and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately at support@stasher.app of any suspected unauthorized access
- We may suspend accounts suspected of compromise or abuse
- One person per account - do not share account credentials
4. Your Content and Ownership
You own your data. You retain full ownership of all documents, emails, and files you upload or connect to Stasher.
You grant Stasher a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the Service - including OCR, AI analysis, embedding generation, and search indexing. This license terminates when you delete your account or disconnect the relevant integration.
Stasher claims no ownership of your content. We do not use your content to train AI models.
5. Connected Accounts and Third-Party Integrations
5.1 Your Responsibility
When connecting a third-party account (Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, Dropbox), you authorize Stasher to access that account on your behalf via OAuth. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect the account and have its contents indexed.
5.2 Google API Compliance
Stasher's use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google APIs is not used for advertising, not used to train AI models beyond serving you, and not sold to third parties.
5.3 Microsoft API Compliance
Stasher's use of Microsoft Graph API complies with Microsoft's terms of service.
5.4 Third-Party Terms
Use of connected third-party services remains subject to those providers' own terms of service. Stasher is not responsible for changes to third-party APIs that affect Service functionality.
5.5 Workplace and Enterprise Accounts
If you connect a work email or storage account (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), your employer may have separate rights over that data. You are responsible for ensuring your organization's policies permit connecting a work account to Stasher. Stasher is not liable for violations of employer or institutional policies.
5.6 Disconnection
You may disconnect any connected account at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts. Indexed data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
6.1 Plans
Stasher offers a free plan and paid plans. Plan features, limits, and pricing are described at the point of purchase and may change with 30 days' notice.
6.2 Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe (web) or in-app purchase (iOS/Android). All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. You authorize recurring charges for your subscription period (monthly or annual).
6.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Plan Management or through the Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- After your billing period ends, your account reverts to the free plan
- Your documents and data are not deleted - they remain accessible under free plan limits
6.4 Refunds
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@stasher.app within 14 days of a charge to request a refund.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload or connect content that violates applicable law
- Use Stasher to index content belonging to others without authorization
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or attack Stasher's infrastructure
- Use the Service for bulk commercial data harvesting
- Circumvent plan limits or abuse free-tier allowances
- Use Stasher to store or distribute malware
8. AI-Generated Content and Search Results
Stasher uses AI models to analyze and search your documents and emails. AI analysis may produce inaccurate summaries, incorrect metadata extractions, or missed search results.
Do not rely solely on Stasher's AI outputs for legal, financial, medical, or other important decisions. Always verify critical information against the original source documents.
You can review and correct any AI-generated metadata from the document detail screen.
9. Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
- Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible
- Free plan: no uptime SLA
- Paid plan: we will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability
10. Intellectual Property
Stasher's software, branding, design, and user interface are owned by Stasher AI, Inc. and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from Stasher's software.
Your content remains your property (Section 4).
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STASHER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STASHER'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STASHER IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) €100.
STASHER IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF PROFITS.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Termination
By You
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Your data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period (you may cancel deletion during this period).
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
Effect of Termination
On termination, your access to the Service ends. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to These Terms
We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may delete your account within the notice period.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Haifa, Israel, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting support@stasher.app. We will work to resolve disputes within 30 days.
